#AskTheExpert 1year 3 months old baby boy, he is suffering cough and cold last 3-4 days elwe will give him azitreat and alkof... he have lot of mucus

Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examination is required to find the cause . As a home remedy you can start with steam inhalation . tCough can be treated with cough suppressant or antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistaminues are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom Cold and cough can take around 3-9 days to subside. so no need to worry. Continue with the medicine prescribed by the doctor. Also give steam inhalation to your baby and apply babyhug rapid relief roll on or vicks babyrub on the chest and sole of the feet to get relief from cough and cold
