#askthedoctor My daughter is 2 and she doesn't speak much yet! Kids of my friends are also the same age but they speak very well. Is that normal?

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of d age . just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentencegs properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

A. Yes Very very normal because a lot of kids kids pick up late when it comes to speed and it is not actually let it is just depending from child to child so in this case if your child is in speaking much right now that’s normal your child is speaking certain words also that’s completely fine
