@askexpert My 3.7 year old son is having fever since last 6 days ( But no stomach pain ) and since yesterday he is complaining stomach pain… yesterday very very small amount of blood passed from his stool.. today there is no sign of blood in stool.. but still having fever.. consulted with the doctors and they continue with Calpol and Meftil for fever and gave 5 days dose of zinc syrup with ampules… Blood test and urine test is normal.. doctor asked one more report is called Blood culture report which is still waiting .. it will take 2/3 days.. can we wait till report is come or should we ask them to start any antibiotic for current fever and pain ? Pls advice.. What is the mean of blood culture test ? I read lots of things from google but unable to understand what exactly this report for ?
