#askexpert Hi.... i am a mommy of 2 month old baby boy. he is purely on bm. but now he is always constipated. i am massaging him daily , exercising also. but he poops in 3 days , sometimes 7 days. yesterday , he has not slept from day to night . only slept for 10-20 minutes and crying all the time. i went to dr and he had given glycerin suppository. then only he pooped , relaxed and slept peacefully. can u pls suggest me how to relieve constipation of baby ??

A. Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors. A proper is counselling is required which can be done bfgy a lactational counsellor along with a proper diet with plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavari . Also try to avoid giving top milk in initial stage specially with bottle feeding which may be the culpfrit for lactational failure most of the time .
