#askdoctors my 3month old boy has only gained 500grams in last one month. he is on ebf.he was 2.25kg when born n 4.2kgs now, is this weight gain okay? or still weight gain needed? and how to increase weight through ebf

A. Ideally, baby should gain approximately 140-200 gms weight per week and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. So considering this your baby is gaining weight in a good way and there is no need to be concerned about it. Keep feeding breastmilk or formula in every 3-4 hours which should include atleast 2 times night feed too.
