#askdoctors Hi Doc am breastfeeding still regular on my periods. every month periods are on time since after child birth. my baby is also on formula milk 2-4 times a day. when my periods arrive first day of it, my milk production dips a little. is everything normal?

A. It is common to have a drop in supply at certain points in your cycle, often from mid-cycle to around the time of your period. It can also be less comfortable to nurse at this time. This is due to the hormonal changes and is only temporary.
