#Ask The Expert# My kid is 2 years girl.. she is not able to swallow hard food, I have to mash like I did when she was one year and feed now also. if I give little hard she is vomiting. her weight is also less and doctor said protein in her is less after few tests. is there any medicine so make her feed hard food? what should I give to increase her weight and protein content in her body?

A. Zinc helps in building appetite. Wheat bran, cashew nuts, and pumpkin seeds are good for improving the level of zinc in the body. Try incorporating these into your child's meals or snacks. Check with your child's doctor for zinc supplements as well.
