Weight is ok but if you observe baby is cranky without speaking according to age because by 2 babies speak words ,can ask their needs, recognize things,by 2.5-3 years they will speak sentences 2-3 words ,can respond to commands. If baby speaking less words not even 50-70 words, not responding to commands, not asking his needs,no direct eye contact, not mingling with same age kids then consult developmental pediatrician for assessment,if only speech related issue consult speech therapist .
