A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is consideredx as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicinesx (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

A. I'm sorry to hear that your baby is not feeling well. It's important to address both the fever and the diarrhea (motion) your baby is experiencing. Here are some steps you can take: ### Immediate Steps: 1. **Hydration**: - Ensure your baby stays hydrated, as diarrhea can lead to dehydration. - Offer small sips of water, oral rehydration solution (ORS), or an electrolyte solution suitable for infants. - Continue breastfeeding or formula feeding if applicable. 2. **Diet**: - Offer easily digestible foods such as bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (BRAT diet). - Avoid sugary drinks, dairy products (except breast milk or formula), and foods high in fiber until diarrhea subsides. 3. **Monitor Symptoms**: - Keep an eye on the frequency and consistency of your baby’s stools. - Watch for signs of dehydration: reduced urine output, dry mouth, no tears when crying, sunken eyes, or lethargy. 4. **Fever Management**: - Use fever-reducing medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, if recommended by your pediatrician. - Dress your baby in light clothing and keep them comfortable. ### When to Seek Medical Attention: - **Dehydration**: If your baby shows signs of dehydration, such as those listed above, seek medical help immediately. - **Persistent Symptoms**: If the diarrhea persists for more than a few days or is accompanied by a high fever, consult your pediatrician. - **Severe Symptoms**: If your baby has a high fever (over 102°F or 38.9°C), blood in the stool, persistent vomiting, or appears very unwell, seek medical attention promptly. - **Underlying Causes**: If the fever and diarrhea are suspected to be caused by a bacterial infection, parasites, or another underlying condition, your pediatrician may need to perform tests and prescribe specific treatments. ### General Care: - **Hygiene**: Ensure proper hand hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. - **Rest**: Allow your baby to rest as much as needed. Given the combination of fever and diarrhea and the duration of these symptoms, it’s important to consult your pediatrician. They can provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your baby’s specific condition.
