Q.

#ask the expert# my baby boy is premature got delivered in 32 weeks. Now he is one month and 6 days. When he cross his one month he has problem of passing stool after every breastfeeding . Atleast he passing stool 7 to 9 times in a day. Please suggest. He is still same weight from birth I e 2 kg

A. this is normal in babies passing stool after feeding It is quite common that in small babies they will be passing motion immediately after taking feeding this is because of gastrocolic reflex present in the babies no need to worry about this as the baby is growing in the age it will disappear

A. hi well , usually it is normal among young babies to pass stool once in 7 days or 10 times in a day. so as such no need to worry. you must offer breastfeeding as per your child demands. feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well which help to increase your child weight.
