Q.
are these white patches sign of vitiligo ? if not what is it ? kindly suggest remedy for the same

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 5 months old now white patches on face are commonly due to fungal infection and you need to apply antifungal ointment like tenovate M or fungotek ointment on affected area

Author of questionMom of a 5 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. these aren't since birth...it appeared as rashes and turned into white patches. Pediatrician has asked to simply keep the skin moisturised..i just want to be assured that it's not vitiligo

Kousambi BhattacharyyaMom of a 6 yr old girl4 years agoA. spots are increasing or showing up in different places?or it is from birth?if it is from birth then it can be birth mark.It can be a kind of fungal infection also.It can be some vitamin deficiency also.Consult your paed.physical evaluation needed.
