A. diet of the mother does not cause any problem to the child. also the gas in abdomen of the child is not due to diet taken by the mother. mother can take all types of home made food which is good for her own health. it is advisable to take all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits and milk by the mother. the recurrent stretching / curving of the body again and again as well as uncomfort / making grunting sounds as well as hiccups as well as colic pain all are due to gas in the intestine and stomach. it is very important that after giving milk to the child you should keep the child in upright position and do burping for 15 to 20 minutes(irrespective that you hear the burps or not). gas in stomach causes hiccups. do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because one time burping will not remove all the gas and if the gas is not removed properly it goes into intestine causing abnormadl distension and that will lead to colic pain again and again. keep the child in upright position whether you hear the burping sound or not and also it is not important that you will hear the sound when the child removes the air from the oral cavity.

A. Well I think after every meal that you are having have a little bit of carrom seed and rock salt with warm water that is going to be good for your digestion as well as this is not going to create any gas or any kind of thing to use so I don’t see it passing on to your child in the first place and secondly kids are generally very gassy by nature so it has got no connection practically with what you are eating
