Q.
Applying vicks vaporub on chest for cough is safe for breast feeding mothers.... Iam applying it. It gives me relief from cough and soothing effect... Whether it is harmful for baby..... What are other options.... Pls suggest me....

Dr Sameer awadhiyaFather of a 12 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. if you are breastfeeding mother suffering from cough and cold you can apply Vicks VapoRub just take precautions that the child should not get irritation and also take steam inhalation it would be very helpful

Hello ma’am You can apply it if you want to but whenever you are feeding your child you just have to clean your breast and just neatly and properly so that your child does not get affected with it otherwise when you’re not feeling you can more certainly apply it onto yourself that is not an issue
