Q.

Anvit having fever for past two days which range from 99 to 100.3 F. Is it viral? His head and neck are very warm sometimes, we are giving him 1.2ml Calpol on SOS when temprature is above 100 F. Please suggest if any test or anything we should do as kid is very fussy and cries a lot. 10 months old baby with 8.8kg weight. Fever log : 24th June, 7.00 PM- 99.5 F 24th June, 8.45 PM - 100.1 F 25th June, 2.00 AM - 98.4 F 25th June, 8.00 AM - 98.7 F 25th June, 1.00 PM - 100 F 25th June, 3.15 PM - 98.2 F 25th June, 7.50 PM - 100.3 F 25th June, 9.52 PM - 97.6 F 26th June, 01.53 AM - 97.4 F 26th June, 04.58 AM - 98.9 F 26th June, 05.25 AM - 99.2 F

A. yes it may be viral. Fever may be due to season change or any other viral infection . For fever paracetamol is given 3 to 4 times in a day . And give more of water also to baby . If any respiratory or any other difficulties then consult a doctor near by
