Q.
am having a 13 months old baby... from yesterday night his feet and hand palm is bit hot...is it because of heat in summer or fever...his temperature was 100.1 before giving medicine.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. know that baby on touch can have warm soles and head. It s a normal and healthy thing.
Check temperature at armpit level and if above 99 fahrenheit then we treat fever in babies.
Can give drops paracetamol like calpol / T 98 / Sumol as per ba y weight . Can be repeated every 6 hours .
fever is an immune response and is a sign so if fever is recurrent and persists then we need some tests and need a pediatrician visit
