ExpertDr. Gunjan BawejaPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello it all depends on your baby. but most if them start to sleep at a stretch when around 6 to 7 months and so don't worry and will soon learn.
Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. New born can sleep around sixteen to seventeen hours per day. Morning sleep will be for seven to eight hours split up into three or four naps. Night sleep can be around ten hours which again could be split up as u have to feed every two to three hours. So This is normal. Young babies will have very small tummies so they will need to be fed every two hours and hence they may wake up pretty often due to hunger. As the babies get older they can feed more in one go and take long gaps between feeds and hence will sleep longer.
