Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fghever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. You can use nasal drops to clear the child's nose block. You can use it thrice a day. Also Heat coconut oil and add little bit of powdered camphor (pure one without chemicals). Once the mixture is lukewarm apply on the baby's chest, back, neck, nose and feet gently. Also make sure you add only little amount of camphor as it can cause skin irritation
