Q.

a child of 4 years old who has hfmd currently has fever. what medicine to given with dosage ? and if the disease spreads to mouth can we apply butter on the blisters inside the mouth?

A. No don’t apply butter instead little glycerine can be applied and for fever give Crocin or calpol to the baby and rise should be as per weight of the baby and don’t exceed more than four doses in a day and give liquids and bland foods

A. Hello! Applying butter might not be really helpful. There are certain oral applications which can help reduce the symptoms. For that you have to get in touch with your consulting paediatrician and seek guidance.
