one should ensure that the child should get a properw balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infection specially any chronic infection shoculd be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

To increase baby's weight, include fat and protein rich foods like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, eggs, chicken, legumes, ghee, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado, paneer and 750-850 ml milk everyday. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks including variety of fluids like water, fresh juices, curd, buttermilk and coconut water.
