Sugar is refined by lot of chemical processes which may be harmful to children.
Excess sugar may cause caries and tooth decay in children.
Excess of sugar may depress immunity. And leads to obesity, diabetes.
You can add natural sweetener in baby food- Any fruit can be added to baby food to make them naturally sweet

yes you can add it while making food for your child.
but it should be in very very small quantity
because young babies don't have fully developed digestive system so their kidneys can not cope up with extra amount of salt.
and instead of sugar use jeggary as it is healthy.
