Hello dear parent, you can start your kid's solid food journey by first giving him semi-solids like fruit purees, mashed banana, boiled apple, porridge (daliya), khitchdi, suji halwa and can gradually add rice water, dal water , plain water gradually in his/her diet. You can even try giving chapati but only in moderation. See what your child likes.
As far as quantity is concerned, try giving everything just 1-2 tablespoon initially.
