Q.
5.5 months old baby throws her hands side ways (wide open) and looks startled for a second and sometimes cries....it happens very frequently... is this normal..has any parent here experienced this...

This is normal for a child I don’t know why your child is crying but it has got no connection with looking at the hand because kids often do it sometimes when you will see the child would learn to sit there look at their feet and also just trying to explore different things about their body so it is completely normal behaviour of a child
