3 year old baby girl having some mucus in potty

A. mucus in the stool is very common phenomenon. it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool.z it may be present in less quantity during regular times and would be in more quantity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child. mucus inz the stool is also associated with gastrointestinal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestion. treatment is usually given according to the cause

A. There could be some chances of an infection in the stomach which is why you can see mucus if the child is not having a regular congestion or cough that means there could be a possibility of an infection it’s better to e consult your doctor regarding this
