3 days old baby get body temp. 101.3 is it normal.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. noFever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only a temperature above 99F is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required
and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever,but if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl4 years agoA. The Fever should have subsided within 72 hours if it has been more than three days and the temperature is really high you should without wasting any time should be consulting your paediatrician as soon as you can please go ahead and consult your doctor
