Q.

11 month old baby fever from friday 102 C peadiatric dr told us it is viral fever prescribed antibiotic and calpol calpol 4 times a day as per dosing instruction but fever up and down no fever on sunday night but start from Monday morning. no cough, no diarrhea, no sneezing, not decrease in food intake, normal urine output sh has 8 teeths and may be 9 coming out how many days fever lasts? is it viral fever?

A. Hi fever could be due to either teething phase.. gently massage the gum pad area with clean finger tip or moist cold cotton cloth to facilitate the eruption process of teeth

A. good evening it could be viral fever it is also possible that the baby is having fever because of the process of teething it is very difficult to say that for how many days it is going to last just continue the medicine for now

Q. 11 month baby girl. fever start from 11 June visited Peadiatric Dr and suggest antibiotic course and calpol and conclude viral infection due to seasonal. fever not reduce and again visited another peadiatric dr on 12 June and also recommend antibiotic course and calpol and conclude viral infection. prescribed medicine Clamp suspension twin pack. and on 14 June CBC, urine ane CRP test done. WBC 7300, CRP 4.5 mg/dL, platelet 1.7 lacs rest report normal urine report also normal clamp one pack finished on 16 June from starting to till today no cough, no sneezing, no sore throat, no skin rashes, no red spot on skin, no diarrhea, no vometing , food intake slightly reduce, urine 6-8 times a day with normal output. breastfeeding milk taking as normal as routine day. she has a 8 teeths, may be 9&10 teeth coming out. still today fever not reduce but pattern of fever changed. earlier body temperature rise to 102-103 in 3hrs after calpol dose now it take 7-8 hr after calpol and temp 101-102. In starting day fever approx 102-103 after 4 hrs of calpol. now it is 101-102 after 7 hrs of calpol. Dr told it is viral fever and complet Antibiotic course of two pack of clamp suspension. is it viral fever ? how many day it will last? is it serious thing to worry?
