Q.

10. month 10 days old baby boy 102.6 fever and it fluctuate 99.9 after 101.4 I will gave paracetamol syrup then it decreases 99.7 after some time I mean now 102.6 what to do

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if requiredFever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also thffis dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and yea fever stay for 4 to 5 days and it fluctuates time to time and after giving paracetamol syrup it comes down and repeat paracetamol syrup after six hours. Take care
