Hello mommies
I am a mother to a 9 month old and a Paediatric dentist by profession. Milk teeth are of utmost importance to your child’s health. They serve as a matrix for the permanent dentition. There are several preventive measures that every parent should adopt in order to keep their children free from cavities and any kind of dental issues. Your child’s first dental visit should be at 6 months/ when you see the first tooth coming up in the oral cavity. Night time feeding should be weaned off anytime after you see the teeth coming. Try to wipe off your child’s teeth with a wet wipe or soft cotton cloth after each feed. Start using finger brush right from the time the first tooth comes up. Once your child is 2 years of age, you can put a ‘rice grain’ sized fluoridated toothpaste while brushing. Diet plays a pivotal role in maintaining a good oral health. Do not dip the teether or pacifiers in sugar syrup and give it to your child. Avoid giving chocolates or sugary drinks in bulk quantities.Dental caries/ cavities is a multifactorial disease. You have to be very careful in dealing with primary teeth. One must always keep in mind that the longer the tooth is in contact with sugar solution, the higher are the chances of decay. Lets all keep these key points in mind while we take care of our children because we all believe in the saying ‘ PREVENTION is better than cure’.
You can write to me on saloni.bharadwaj.jha1408@gmail.com for further assistance. I will be more than happy to help you with any query or doubt.

Milk teeth generally start by 5th or 6th month. The future health completely depends on the carekaken for this milk teeth. And not just this, everyone should wash their mouth after meals to prevent the decay of teeth. small kids should take special care like brushing there teeth at nights too, because if milk teeth is not healthy, the decay reaches to future one also.

Baby Teeth called as milk teeth while weaning.most children have a set of 20 milk teeth by the time they're 3 year's old.when they reach 5/6 these teeth will start to fall out, making way for adult teeth.Healthy milk teeth help a child to eat, chew normally.its need o maintain good oral hygiene by not allowing infant to fall asleep with bottle contains milk or juice.

Milk teeth are also called as baby teeth, primary teeth or deciduous teeth are your first teeth . milk teeth are 20 .They start developing during the embryonic stage and start to erupt through the gums about six months after birth .All twenty of them are typically in by Age 2 and half.
Any of the first set of teeth in your children that falls out and are replaced by others( permanent teeth). thank you

Your baby,'s first teeth I.e the milk teeth help a child speak. Without them a child can't form simple words with their mouth to communicate and speak clearly. our baby's first tooth makes its grand debut around 6 months of age, and by two to three years old, all 20 baby teeth should have erupted in their mouth. Six years old is when you can expect your children to lose their first baby teeth and have permanent teeth peek through. Keep the tooth fairy on standby; this process of permanent teeth replacing baby teeth will continue until your child is 12 or 13.
