What pH Value One Should Look For While Choosing a Baby Care Product?

When a baby is born the skin pH is 7 unlike adult's healthy skin which has a pH of 5.5. Moreover, the baby’s skin is 20% thinner and very delicate hence needs specialized care. Using alkaline baby skin and hair care products with a pH >7 even if they are natural can damage the protective barrier, leading to skin dryness and roughness and might lead to increase in skin infections.Tell us what do you think about using pH 5.5 products for your baby's healthy skin.Gratification - 3 Lucky Winners to get a SebaMed Gift Hamper worth Rs. 800

Babies are born with a skin pH value of 7. The acid mantle which protects the baby's delicate skin takes upto 3 months to develop, the pH of the skin then becomes 5.5. pH neutral products are not a friend of baby's skin. Any pH value other than 5.5 can severely damage sensitive skin. Sebamed products are known to have pH5.5 which is good for kids. I have always used Sebamed products ranging from body wash to shampoo to body lotion. these are simply the best for kids.
