What pH Value One Should Look For While Choosing a Baby Care Product?
When a baby is born the skin pH is 7 unlike adult's healthy skin which has a pH of 5.5. Moreover, the baby’s skin is 20% thinner and very delicate hence needs specialized care. Using alkaline baby skin and hair care products with a pH >7 even if they are natural can damage the protective barrier, leading to skin dryness and roughness and might lead to increase in skin infections.Tell us what do you think about using pH 5.5 products for your baby's healthy skin.Gratification - 3 Lucky Winners to get a SebaMed Gift Hamper worth Rs. 800

Since baby is born with a delicate skin and any product with pH > 7 is detrimental for her/ him, it is highly advisable to use products with pH ~ 5.5, ensuring the barrier of skin is intact and well taken care of, without irritating the delicate balance of baby’s skin.

It's important to keep the skin's pH at 5.5 because it serves as a barrier against potentially hazardous irritants and germs in the environment
