The mindset of the society is and will more or less be the same.My mother in law prevented me from eating jamuns during my pregnancy and when I came to know the reason I burst into fits of laughter. In our country when a girl child is born the first reaction we receive from our relatives is \' ladki hui...par rang to saaf hai\'that atleast serves as a consoling factor for the havoc ridden mother who is still adjusting post birth. However things are very different for the parents of current scenario not only are we learning to accept ourselves with our skin colors but create equal amount of confidence in our children to do the same.My daughter has exceptionally beautiful eyes, when she was born and laid next to me the only thing that struck me was the amount of love her eyes were emanating for me. Though she might not be a fair and blue eyed barbie yet she\'s a reflection of the boundless love her parents had to have her in their lives. If\" fair\" is lovely then better bleach yourself before planning a pregnancy.
