A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a 'Son' rather than a 'Daughter' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

I want baby girl....like me to complete my family. without girl home is not look like home it's like house ...I want to a sister for my baby ..and a daughter...who going to shopping with me

gender never matters for parents but when children grow up they need a bro or Sis to share their joys and sorrows..,to celebrate bhai dooj and rakhi and when daughter gets married.. a son should be there to look after parents... both are equally important

In order to eliminate gender difference from our society, it needs to start from our home from basic things. Pink is not a color for girls and blue not for boys. They are kids and they are free to choose their colors. Gender shouldn't define the type of toys they should play with. In today's changing world i see girls going to karate classes and boys to music. It's fine.

Even on shopping sites if you choose boys section the fort color that pop up is blue.

A color won't define or type of toy won't define my kids gender. Fact of the matter is we are trying our best to raise good human beings and not a girl or a boy. Let's focus on raising good human beings.

i gave birth first female..i felt i m the luckiest mom..and happy to say again i gave birth girl baby second time..at the 3rd time son enterd to my life ..for himi m happy..finally i m so happy to say that i have 2 girl kids..

I never wanted a boy as my first child . But i guess people are still very conservative that a boy always takes a step further to his parental family. Well i am very lucky that in my house nothing is lyk this .

nothing is going to change unless the tradition if giving dowry is changed only then they will feel happy when cost of marriage and cost of delivery are bared by both sides equally this will change till then it continues.... having a wish is fine but saying you dont want a specific gender is wrong...

Dowry is not the case now-a-days it is about the security of a girl. We all hear news about the rapes, acid attacks, abuse and what not....I think that is the reason girls and boys are treated differently. Really we need law enforcement in place.
As parents, it really doesn't matter if it's a girl or boy child. all we want is a healthy and happy baby.
And also as parents it is our responsibility to ensure that they are getting right values and principles. They should learn to respect and love others.

It doesnt matter even if its a girl or a boy .I totally disagree with the above statement. I strongly had a like for girl not only because I could dress her beautifully but I could give her all the strength and boldness to live in this world where girls are abused and exploited. I want to mould my baby girl to a strong lady like my mother who was bold enough to stand in her own decisions with a head which has not bowed infront of anyone.
