Boy V/S Girl

GENDER INEQUALITY Gender Bias in Parenting
Boy V/S Girl
A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a 'Son' rather than a 'Daughter' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

Hi I am 16 weeks pregnant and I don't think of it so much. but as my in laws don't have any male child they always discuss about this that weather I am going to deliver a boy or a girl. they always pray to God for a baby boy even my husband also thinks of a boy. it always make me confuse.

gender never matters for parents but when children grow up they need a bro or Sis to share their joys and sorrows..,to celebrate bhai dooj and rakhi and when daughter gets married.. a son should be there to look after parents... both are equally important
I am a mother of 18months old daughter. I always think that I am so happy with my daughter only and I don't want a 2nd child but some times I also think like u.......when she gets married, she needs a brother (maayka) after me.

gender inequality is existing since ages not known.I am asked for a second child only because my first child is a girl.there are parents in our family with single child that are boys and they are not asked for second child.i was told that your daughter will get married someday so their must be someone as your heir.why can't a girl be the heiress to your legacy when you are gone was my question to them.i am proud that i have got a chance to raise the womb of the universe.its high time...it should stop now.gender comes into play because we are much attached to our bodies.if you are blessed with two children preferably a boy n a girl..do not treat them differently.let them not know that there is something called gender that makes them different from one another.let them grow gracefully together just with one thought that they are blessed humanbeings.
