A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a 'Son' rather than a 'Daughter' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

Our indian culture, beliefs n all these factors contribute to this trend, our indian society unfortunately is a male dominated society where they think that baby boy when grown up will be the bread earner of the family and wont leave after marriage n will stay wid thm n support thm.in their old age.they see son as asset n girl child a liabilty.

but m really glad m blessed wid a beautiful angel she is so so so precious to us, she takes all the love. we all love her so so much.. n in todays tym girls will n even are overpowering boys.

yus we expected a baby boy during pregnancy ... just to adopt second girl baby from orphan...

soo... now are you going to adopt a baby boy from orphanage??

yes gender inequality do exist no matter how modern we are but even in the modern society people do expect to have a baby boy first instead of baby girl as a first child, as in my case my mother in law always says that first child should be a boy after that there will be no tension for the second child. When there is a birth of a son in a house there will be lots of celebration and in case of girl child they will just gives some sweets that's it. Yes I am strictly against this, for me my daughter is everything, and I'll be there for her at every step of her life.

Gender never matters. Everyone is equal and we should all come forward, leaving behind the old and narrow thinking, and should feel equally proud of our children, treat them with the same love, give them what they need, get them ready for their future without any biasing. I am a daughter and know whatever my parents did for me without doing any differentiation between my brother n me.. And the same way I am gonna love my daughter👧 🥰😍

Absolutely no. Now most of the people even in small town like ranchi are aware regarding this. my first child is baby girl and I m really proud of this.
