Boy V/S Girl

GENDER INEQUALITY Gender Bias in Parenting
Boy V/S Girl
A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a 'Son' rather than a 'Daughter' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

Yes its still there in most parts of India
As for my husband and me we wanted two children and the gender didnt matter to us at all
But surrounding people guessed already that i will have a boy during my second pregnancy
I had a 4 year old daughter and someone just casually mentioned i dont have a boy yet
I got v offended and gave a lecture to my husband about this as this person was from his family
I had a boy later and husbands family was v happy but i was just ok as i knew they are happy about getting a boy I told my husband if someone ever says anything regarding gender again then you will pay for it lol
My parents dont care nor even expected me to have a second child Actually i never discussed such a personal thing with them But yes i was n still am little partial towards girl child Their love never changes with time and age

In our Indian society, if mom gives a birth to baby boy then it is considered as a matter of proud and lifetime asset as a bread earner but if it’s a baby girl then it is considered as lifetime liability and she needs to prove at every stage of life.
Being a mom of a baby girl, my daughter is a precious gift n blessing of god. It’s an asset for me and her dad and she completes us. God give girl child to his beloved couple only.

honestly speaking i always yearned for having a baby girl.. but almighty blessed me with a baby boy. and the reason why I always wished for a baby girl is bcoz girls are mercy bestowed upon parents by Almighty while as a boys are a gift from the same for parents.
you will be questioned for a gift, while as you will be treasured for the mercy.
