A Boy Child or a Girl Child have been treated differently since ages. A desire of having a \'Son\' rather than a \'Daughter\' is still there in most parts of the country.Does it really matter for you? Why do you think our society has this preference for having Son rather than Daughter?

It\'s perfectly alright to have one son or one daughter or n number of daughters. It is the parents or parent\'s ability to bring them up as a good human being with all necessities, that is important. And not the gender of the child.

a boy or girl is equal to me and most parents treat equally either a boy or girl but in society boy is given most prefernce than a girl because a girl will be with be parents only a part of their life and just only up to certain age till she gets settled in their life and gets married but where as boy child will be with their parents look after them

Because as per world a girl have to leave his parents house and accept the boy sirname which leads to make stop on her own family. Thats the main reason of this thinking. Everyone wants to continue his family.
