Not at individual level
Just because of the society people mindset has became in such a way that they prefer baby boy over baby girl. And the core reason behind this is that they literally don’t want their daughters to go through all those nonsense which the mother personally has went through pre and post marraige, just because the society wants this.
In heart everyone loves girl child so much that just to save them from being hurt ot unsafe they prefer boy and in heart compromise.

All people are not the sme..i like girl baby than a boy baby..but both are our gifts...so have to treat the both in same way

No it does not matter. But still at some places boys are given more preferences. Reasons might be:
1. Few believe that ' beta vansh aage lekr jayega'
2. Some believe in that after daughters marriage who will take care of parents when they get old.
3. Many don't want daughter because of giving dowry at the time of her marriage.
But I totally disagree all the above mentioned points because in today's world all girls can work equally as boys do and can easily support their families both emotionally and financially as boys can do.

Definitely NO. Nowadays it's matter of upbringing of children rather than gender that matters which is in our thought process and definitely in our hands. I just want a healthy baby whatever gender I'm happy.
Dowry rules and punishment has to be made even stronger though.
