Body Shaming after Pregnancy
You are paying that doctor for consultation. So don\'t let her bully you or scold you. She can suggest in a helpful way. Tell your family and husband that you are not able to relate to her. Your life and post-partum health depends on her. If she\'s gonna blame your weight, she is sure going to use it if anything goes wrong from her. No one should feel scared for a service they are paying for.
it's my 9th month and I went for another doctor consultation who will be there at the time of delivery and right from 1st meeting she is scolding and yelling at me saying you are fat you are obese needs to control and I was like I am afraid a lot and she doesn't knw me my condition and how can I control my weight now what is expecting from me at this stage where she needs to give me support .she's giving me negativity bt due to my inlaws and husband I have to bear her .

I went to consult our relative who is a gynaec when my kid was 8 months old. She checked my c section scar and started scolding me for having tummy pouch, she literally was tugging and pulling the tummy to make me feel how bad it is. She knew that I delivered only 8 months back and I stay in a joint family while handing a highly pressuringcorporate job, how can someone loose the baby pouch in just 8 months. I felt so humiliating and embarrassing. I understand one needs to loose weight to be fit but one should also consider the circumstances before making any comments.

For me the experience is not good so far, my complexion has degraded by 2 layers and look weak after delivery till now. People keep on commenting for my looks but jo one ever mention about how hard I work and manage both office and home amd my baby in addition how low nutrient and less I eat. I do for others but miss doing for myself somehow..

It is the truth that after pregnancy the whole society and even few family members also commented on the health and body and also for complexion even they know about the hormonal changes

The media has always shamelessly paraded the patriarchal mindset that women\'s bodies are public property, to be commented upon and controlled. Due to internalised misogyny many women, including highly educated ones, put a lot of pressure on other women to lose weight. Weight and witness are different things. Going back to our previous or better fitness level takes a couple of years. As a breastfeeding mom, I won\'t go for it till my baby is able to sustain on food other than milk. I\'m very confident of gaining fitness because I have always lived a healthy lifestyle.

It is totally upon mom\'s personal choice and priority.. whether she wants to be fit or stay as she is. No one should comment on this becos all the struggle and pain gone through she was no one can understand so repairing her mindset by love and companion is more important than repairing her body.. as of course after a baby her baby is her first priority rather than herself.. that\'s why mom is mom..
