What were the challenges in your breastfeeding journey and how did you overcome it?
Breastfeeding is a beautiful journey however it is not so easy for every mother especially if she is a first time mom. Sharing some of my experiences, which may help other moms in their journey.
The biggest challenge I had was doubting myself that I have low supply, however that\'s not the case and we switch to formula. Trust yourself and keep on feeding the baby, the brain gets the signals and your body produces sufficient milk but it\'s a process and may take time, so don\'t give up.
Secondly, the latch.. Many moms face it, that the young ones are unable to latch. Try and try is the key. They would start latching for seconds to minutes.
Third, on some basics, feed the baby till the breast is empty and then switch. It gives signals that body needs to make more milk. My baby do not use to empty and switches at times, so I used Phillips Avent Manual Pump, it\'s budget friendly and very easy to use and clean..i store this for times when I had to be out or away and the baby could be fed in my absence.
I hope mommies, these would help you. Let me know if you have any questions. I have learnt throughout my journey and would be happy to help.
