i went through tough time for 45 days in case of breastfeeding, reason was excess breast milk and hard breast my daughter was not able to latch properly my mother in law was my partner during this tough time , 24/7 whenever my baby was hungry she would cry for 15-20 minutes because she could not latch and later after so many tries my mother in law somehow used to make her latch, 45 days were too much difficult but my mother in law didnt give up , she made my daughter to latch direct to my breast instead of nipple shield

My Husband helped me a lot during my breastfeeding Journey. He had an amazing knowledge in knowing the hunger signs. He told me to pump milk and store for the night and he himself nursed my baby during night while letting me sleep peacefully. He said Rest and sufficient hydration are required for quality breastmilk. He also helped me feel positive about the negativity about breastfeeding from neighbours and aunts of locality. I should say He was always there for me and my baby.

Breastfeeding is a family affair. It takes time, practice, patience, and teamwork. As a dad, you may feel left out if your partner breastfeeds your new baby. But you play an important role. Here are ways you can offer support and encouragement, and be involved every step of the breastfeeding journey. WIC is there to help every step of the way with resources, support, and answers.
