My baby boy born premature at 31.weeks ..has been taken to NICU straight after delivery... I couldn't breastfeed my baby... had to express milk while sitting next to baby.. it was so tough for me to control my y emotions... used to cry but my husband was very supportive at that time.. he used to sit by My side while I'm expressing the milk at home and tell me how my baby kicks were.. how cute the baby is... he used to make me feel happy during milk expression so that I wouldn't feel sad. when the sisters asked me to try breastfed with baby.... my husband used to hold the baby in a position so that he could have good latch with nipple.. I still remember the day when my baby started feeding from my best my husband was so happy... he celebrated the day... he took 6 months off from work to look after us while there is no parents are available due to covid situation... it's a blessing to have caring and supportive husband especially during pregnancy I felt his love 100 times more.

Well, my daughter is 9 months now and till 6months she was exclusively breastfed. After that on solids and breastfeeding.
Nowadays bottlefeeding is very common and as I am a working mother many people tried to convince me that if I breastfeed my baby then she will become clingy and I will have to leave my job ultimately as she will not drink milk or water from bottle. So I will have to feed her whole day and night.
Also I faced some relatives and colleagues who are well educated but still believes breastmilk is nothing but water and it does not fill baby's tummy.
I had my husband for the defense. he always stood by me and respected my decision of breastfeeding. He motivated me all time. Whenever I felt lonely in those sleepless nights, breastfeeding my beautiful daughter, he left his laptop, hugged me and patted my back. And I felt that yes, I can do this.
He confronted people who tried to make be believe that bottle feeding is worth it.
After each feeding session he used to burp the baby, so that I can lie down for some time.
He is the one who made my life much easier at that tiring demanding time. I am ever so grateful for that.

I feel so lucky and blessed to have my husband by my side and together kickstarting my breastfeeding journey. I am a first time mother and had absolutely no idea how to go about bf. My husband taught me all about it like how to position how to latch . He tried to keep me positive when milk came in drops after delivery(colostrum) when everyone around started saying milk won’t come .After coming home he used to wake me up at nights to feed the baby and also burp him thereafter . He used to let me sleep while he himself would stay awake and make the baby sleep .Truly lucky to have him by my side #parentyourway

Offer to bring me a glass of water, gave another pillow if needed, or remove distractions like older siblings, visitors or the family pet. Bring my baby to me in bed for night feeds and settle baby back to sleep if needed
