I could never have breastfed my baby without my husband...initial weeks my baby couldn't latch properly...I was unable to do so holding baby in one hand and had almost given up and was thinking of feeding him with pumped milk with bottle but my husband was the one who consulted multiple experts n finally he learned first how to make baby latch which started our beautiful journey...also my husband was the one who used to wake me up every 2hrs for feed the baby😊

Breastfeeding is a journey for the entire family, not just for the baby and the lactating parent.
Here are some tips:
1. Give them encouragement- A simple “Thanks for being you” note on the bathroom mirror can do the trick, but making your words of encouragement specific to their lactation journey will be all the more meaningful.
2. Keep your partner hydrated and fed- In those early days, lactating parents are going to be so tired they might forget to eat and drink. To nurse effectively, they have to be healthy, which means eating right and drinking lots of water. Staying hydrated is important for keeping milk supply up, so be proactive by keeping the glass full.
3.Burp, diaper, and soothing time = your time: Your partner will likely be tired from nursing, but the job isn’t over when the baby’s full. If your baby needs burps, step up as your team’s Official Burper.Handle the diaper change before or after nursing and give your partner some space to clean up, dress, or just shut their eyes for a few moments.
4. Take an active role in nighttime feedings- Once the baby has established a healthy feeding schedule, you can pick up one of the nighttime feeding sessions to give your partner a longer stretch of sleep.
You can also keep your partner company during feedings and make sure that she has plenty to eat and drink. Watch for hunger signs. Learn your baby's hunger cues so that you can bring your baby to your partner for nursing sessions.

Partner should give enough time to sleep by taking care of the baby & provide nutrition enriched foods.

My first pregnancy went very smoothly all thanks to my dearest husband who is true soulmate and proved it in every moment by making me comfortable. Even though I have to go through unplanned emergency c section, he was there for me to provide me relief from every concern and took good care of our baby boy who's now 1 month 21 days now. Fortunately, I had good milk secretions from day of my delivery to feed my baby but without his help, it was a bit difficult prior to start my breastfeeding journey, being his efficient support and help everything is going good as he also take responsibility to feed baby by bottle so that I should sleep well and remain healthy to make sure proper rest is must. Very much blessed with his presence in every walk of life, grateful to him to great extent!!!

My partner made sure my bedding was clean after baby bath. Necessary rest was given to me after feeding. He would take baby burp after feeding and clean baby lips so that it does not turn black . He provided me water so that I remain hydrated and ensured food is taken at right time . Most imp took care of my elder son keshav so that I can give more to my baby girl. I will always remember my journey . I think pregnancy has 2 parts pre and post delivery.
