My partner has played important role in my breastfeeding journey.I am C-section mom. During initial days, he comforts and cuddles baby in his lap, helps to burp him after the feed. Sometimes he prepares formula milk and bottle fed the baby.Till now when our baby is 16 months old , my husband has told me to wake him up whenever needs any help at the night . Sometimes he wakes up and me if I need any help , or water, or to use washroom. If any relative visits home, and our baby feels hungry or need to be breastfed, he himself serves the visitors or do the dishes. He cares alot for me and our baby and even during my pregnancy. I have endless words do describe his role in my journey .And if I thank him for anything he smile and say not to thank, you are not alone .I am always there with you .This is our baby , we will both raise him together to make him comfortable and give him everything best.

My husband played important role in my breastfeeding journey. All family members and relatives give me suggestions about baby's milk. some of them said, give formula milk some of them adviced me to give cow milk. but only my husband support me to give breast milk. He encourage me a lot about breastfeeding, praising me and offering words of encouragement and whenever I feel low he Pampers me and give his support by words "Don't give up, U can do it".

The family members including husband plays important role in breast feeding..... especially immediately after the delivery, I was suffering from post partum depression... during that time the moral support, the feeding positions, helping in taking care of my baby like changing diaper, dress.... getting the medicine and the big thing is during night feeds, my husband was also awake with me...... helped in making baby sleep.... he also took care about my diet.... support is very important during the initial months of breast feeding... and the mother mental well-being is very important for feeding... thanks to my husband for all the support...

I have twins with C section, so breastfeeding was a big challenge for me. But my husband encouraged me. He took me to the lactation consultant. He motivated me whenever I felt depressed as I was not able to breastfeed my babies. Though my babies are on formula milk only but my husband helped me a lot in this journey and didn't let me feel like a failure.

After a long wait of 7 years, i had two beautiful twin girls through c-section. first few days were quite challenging for me to breastfed both of them(doctor suggested strictly not to use formula milk atleast for a month or so, as my milk is more nutritious and helps inprove their immun system) my husband tremendously supported me everyday round the clock and both the grand parents of my children took shifts to support me and my husband. with the support of our parents we happily fed my milk for a complete month and during 2nd month, we balanced the diet with my milk as well as formula milk. our families made sure to provide me enough rest so i can be energetic to spend time with my little girls.

My husband has been my biggest strength since my pregnancy days and after delivery. I delivered baby during the peak second wave of covid and except husband no other family members were allowed inside hospital.
1. I was barely able to sit upright due to C-section delivery and had no idea that newborn babies cannot latch by themselves during breastfeeding. Nurses taught my husband how to latch breast to baby's mouth and he used to apply the learnt process to properly insert my breast to baby's mouth.
2. He works from home and thus helps to sterilise, prepare formula milk and feed, cuddle, bath and rock baby to sleep.
3. He used to feed pumped breastmilk.
4. He puts soft cushions and pillows on my lap and behind my back to make my breastfeeding session comfy.
5. He brings juice, milk, water to keep me hydrated during breastfeeding session.
6. He has attended all the online lactation sessions with me offered by hospital and took notes of important points.
7. He has always emotionally uplifted me during pregnancy, through post partum depression and post operation pain and while breastfeeding as well.

Involvement of both the parents in parenting journey ensures a lovely family bond where children grow up to be strong, happy and healthy.
