first 6months is crucial for breastfeeding, and during each breastfeeding time mother is mentally n physically engaged, my partner made sure that he's there to assist me while breastfeeding by helping me drink water, pick baby's bib, help the baby. also after 6months he was dedicated to formula feed the baby keeping a strict time.

My husband an ideal partner in my breastfeeding journey. Our journey started long before our kids birth. During my pregnancy, he would read up articles and encourage me to breastfeed our kids for atleast a year due to it's various benefits, both for mom and child. Initially it was troublesome to get hang of it, also getting a c-sec made it little difficult. However my partner always encouraged me to not give up and keep going. He would make sure I was in a comfortable position while feeding and be near me to provide me with anything I might need like water, snacks, mobile, wipe cloth etc. At night, when I would be too exhausted, he would take responsibility of burping, changing diaper and playing with our kid. Also he had more knowledge than me about different foods/methods that increase/regulate milk supply.

More than the physical support, it's the emotional support he gave me that helped me sail through the bittersweet journey of breastfeeding with ease. I'm thankful to him for making me believe in myself.
