While God has gifted only mothers the magic of producing milk for babies, a father can help the mother in increasing its production by providing positive environment, continuous healthy food, liquids and improved baby positioning for sucking. My husband helped me in all of the above, specially during nights.

my husband had yo leave for his new job to Saudi on the 5th day of our baby. i struggled a lot regarding breastfeeding initially. although he was so far from me he used to call me through out the day and talked to me saying how good I am handling everything and I am the best for our baby and all. Because of his constant motivation and mental support I was able to get out of that super stressful situation and nurse our baby in the best possible way.

A partner can maintain boundaries when others may demand the time or attention of the breastfeeding parent. The partner can answer the door or the phone, and can let others know that the new mother needs time alone or some rest
