He was so supportive. After having a C section, when I was struggling the first day to get the baby to latch and my mature milk still hadn't come in, he was the one who was constantly encouraging me to not give up. He went ahead and got me a breast pump (something which was unheard of in our family) to help me pump and encourage the milk production. If it weren't for him, I seriously think I would have went ahead with the formula (not that it is a bad thing). I was able to successfully EBF for 6 Months and still am feeding my 18MO boy.

Hello Everyone. Congratulations all for being a part of this wonderful journey.

I would like to share my experience in a few words which might help new mom's out there.

As I went through C section, I wasn't lactating for a few days. It was very depressing to see a nurse giving formula to my baby. My husband could sense that and he requested them to allow me to feed my baby even though it was formula. Constantly gave me confidence.More importantly he went through so many articles about breastfeeding, how it works and what will help in lactating.

5th day onwards I started lactating but baby had latch issues and was not taking breastfeed. Holding baby for longer period and trying to feed was so exhausting. He used to hold baby for me so that she gets a good latch and calm her down.Took responsibility of feeding formula whenever required. He used to keep alarm and wake me up for feeding sessions. We together came a long way in this journey and today she is 4 months old and exclusively on breastfeed.

He is a constant support system and makes everyone realise that I also need care as much as the baby and he does care for both.
