Breastfeeding my baby was the most difficult part, because of soft nipples my little baby could not suck it properly and then the challenge began... 1st and 2nd day we gave FM to the baby but Dr. Suggested to stop FM and feed from breast but he could not latch... 2nd night we decided to stop giving FM. My little baby was crying of hunger and even I was also crying with him but I had to make him latch every in every 2 hour interval we would try to latch first then feed him with 20ml FM. 3rd day I had sore breasts and was hurting like anything (pain cannot be described I can only say it was more than labor pain). Pump which my hubby bought was faulty and couldn’t suck the milk out. Then the nurse in the hospital gave me a syringe and asked to break it and pump from opposite side of it.. I did that which gave me great relief. After pumping too much from it blood started coming out and my nipples became wounded. But after trying repeatedly from 4th night my baby started latching and I was soooooo happy... felt like I conquered the World and presented to my baby... I can’t describe that feeling in words... Just want to say that starting with breastfeed can be difficult for baby and you both but be determined and don’t surrender because that is the best and most natural thing you can offer to your baby

I am still facing the challenge because of flat nipples, i started giving fm from 2nd day bcoz supply was low but then even after taking galactogs it didn't increased enough. So he stills takes fm but not bm as much as he should. I tried pump but it was also not effective as i could not express out even 90ml, even after sitting for an hour, so i gave up that idea too. Tried 2 or 3 nipple shields even that went wrong. Still struggling to feed him breastmilk.
same problem here.. I need pump first 2 or 3 months, then milk stopped coming out. my baby is 10 month old now. N he takes formula milk.. can't help myself.. 😔

I have also faced this same experience. Nw my baby is 6 mnths old.. From the beginning to this day I am breat feeding him. He is also gain weight. In the beginning months I thought I don't hav much milk to give to my baby. He was crying continously and many around me asked if I do not hav milk. I didn't loose my confidence nd I breastfeed my baby. Actually baby cried for some other reason. To all new mothers don't think that ur baby cries not only because he is hungry bt for some other reasons too.. Nd all of us mothers are blessed with enough milk for our babies and if u feel u hav less milk, it's just ur thought.. Tell all around u to support u nd don't say anything negative that vl discourage u because only with a complete support u can do it. Keep yourself happy nd motivated nd feed ur baby..

hi,I have same issue,my baby is 6month preterm baby,he have latching issue, whenever I tried to give him my milk he started chewing rather than sucking,n cried a lot .I tried all the things, electrical pump, manual pump,as my baby stop sucking, so milk secretions also slow day by day.so I started give him formula when he was 3.5month old,now he is 6month old,I am giving him formula with cerelac.people surrounding me thought that intentionally I am doing this,as a mother I know the truth how it's feel,i have milk but my baby can't sucking..please if any one know the solution . please suggest me.
