In Roman mythology, Silvius was also the name of several legendary kings of Alba Longa, an ancient city in what is now modern-day Italy. According to legend, Silvius was the son of Aeneas, the legendary founder of Rome, and his wife Lavinia. Silvius Alba was believed to be the last king of Alba Longa before the city was destroyed.
