Your child probably has a language of his own, it can seem as if you need an interpreter to understand him. When you are not able to decipher what he is saying, trying to take guess, rather than saying, “I can’t understand you.” is only going to cause him to feel stressed and frustrated. Speak in clear, simple sentences to encourage your child’s articulation and make it easier for him to understand.
