Education for All Is Imperative to Change the World
Education is the tool to make an individual self-reliant, curb social evils, and contribute to a nation’s development. Yet, we do not realize the importance of education for one and all. It is of utmost importance to understand the need and significance of education for all before making society aware of its benefits. Imparting education helps generate job opportunities, removes poverty, builds safety and security, increases productivity, instills confidence, and improves the standard of life.
Women empowerment comes from educating the society’s women who can voice their concerns and fight against all injustice. They can be self-reliant without depending on anyone. Women empowerment can bring in a lot of development in society and the nation. Educating women can help uplift the economically weaker section, one of the key requirements to change the world. Education also helps build communication, supports individual growth, and allows all to lead independent life.
In India, education is a constitutional right of every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, race, religion, gender, etc. Education is imperative to compete with the global market as educated people are always treated well and well-respected everywhere globally.
Some prominent steps towards making education accessible to every part of the country are: 1) The Right to Education Act, 2009, made education a fundamental right for every child between the ages 6 and14, 2) the launch of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, 3) adult education and national development schemes, 4) women education schemes, 5) Midday meal scheme, and many more.
Education paves the way for a nation’s progress. Education is the backbone of society; hence, the government should adopt significant measures to provide education to everyone. This will bring equality among people, and they become more responsible for society’s betterment.
