yesterday my 6year old son burn his leg from bike silencer..i put silver plus on it..do he need tetnus for that? his vaccine is up to date till now..At 4year 6month he received his dpt vaccine in which t means tetnus..i think it's last fir 5year ? pls suggest

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. tetanus is not needed. if your child has completed the regular vaccination there is no need to go for tetanus vaccination at this age because it is already covered in the national immunisation schedule. if the injury or cut is very dirty enough then the final decision of tetanus vaccine will be taken by the doctor.
